PF4 is a member of the CXC chemocinfamily. Human PF4 is used for the proof of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia. Furthermore it is used as an inhibitor in the angiogenesis during tumortherapy.

PF4 is isolated from human platelets or recombinant from E. coli by using FPLC. The identity of the product is confirmed by Masspectroscopy and N-terminal Sequencing. The purity of the product is controlled by PAGE, HPLC and MS. The activity is controlled by HIT-antibody binding assays.

Newest product from this group of proteins is PF 4 human recombinant Variant 1.

Furthermore available is recombinant Platelet factor 4 Mouse.
